TOUR BEGINS ON SUNDAY.

DAY 1: SUNDAY - Chicago, IL to West Branch, IA
After your pre-Tour overnight stay in Chicago, you'll travel from Chicago via deluxe motorcoach to West Branch, Iowa, for a visit to the Herbert Hoover Presidential
Library and Museum
to experience the many sides of Iowa’s only President.  The galleries begin with Hoover’s boyhood in Iowa, and continue on to the Waldorf Towers in
New York, where he spent the final years of his life.  We’ll then check into our Hotel and have time to relax a little before we go to Dinner at a local restaurant.

DAY 2: MONDAY - West Branch, IA to Kansas City, KS
After Breakfast at Hotel, we check out to travel to The City of Fountains —Kansas City, Missouri via deluxe motorcoach. We’ll have Lunch en route. Upon our arrival, we’ll
check into the Hotel, then proceed to the
Hallmark Visitor Center where you will step inside the creative minds of Hallmarks artists and writers, view the 75 Emmy Awards
won by the Hallmark Hall of Fame, walk through history with artifacts from over 90 years of Hallmark history, and watch a skilled press operator as he produces a real
Hallmark card.
Time permitting this afternoon, we also may be able to visit one of the following: The American Jazz Museum and the Negro Leagues
Baseball Museum in the historic 18th and Vine District OR the new $26 million World War I Museum at Liberty Memorial
which contains a glass floor raised
several feet above a field of red poppies, representing the 9-million combat deaths of the war and a stunning recreation of No Man's Land, a 90-foot-long replica trench
and a three-story screen depicting scenes from "the war to end all wars".  We’ll return to the Hotel after this full day to relax before sampling Kansas City’s world-renown
barbeque for Dinner at famous Kansas City restaurant.

DAY 3: TUESDAY - Day Trip to Abilene, KS
After Breakfast at the Hotel, we take a Day Trip to Abilene, Kansas for Lunch and a tour of the Dwight D. Eisenhower Presidential Library and Museum. The massive
glass entry to the Library is highlighted with bronze work depicting a buffalo head and blue stem grass. Loreda Chiaro marble from Italy covers the walls, and the floors are
Roman travertine trimmed with Breche d'Alep and Rouge Fleuri marble from France. After touring the Library, we’ll return to Kansas City and have a leisurely Dinner in
Kansas City before returning to the Hotel for the evening.

Day 4: WEDNESDAY - Kansas City, KS to Independence, MO to Little Rock, ARK –
FALL FOLIAGE DAY
After Breakfast this morning, we check out of the Hotel to travel to Independence, Missouri, for a tour of the Harry S. Truman Presidential Library and Museum. The
major issues and events of Truman’s Presidency are highlighted in a new 10,500 square foot exhibition, the centerpiece of the Library’s ambitious renovation. A new
permanent exhibition features the personal side of the life of Harry Truman and his family, primarily through the many letters exchanged between Harry and Bess over the
years.
FALL FOLIAGE: From Independence, we depart for Little Rock, Arkansas, which will take the rest of the day – taking us in a southeastern direction
through the Midwest in Fall Foliage.
 We’ll stop en route for Lunch and Dinner before checking into our Hotel for the evening. (B,L,D) Overnight in Little Rock, ARK

DAY 5: THURSDAY - Little Rock, ARK
Today we stay in Little Rock all day. The highlight will be a tour of the William J. Clinton Presidential Library and Museum, home to the largest archival and museum
holdings of any in the Presidential Library system. The Cabinet room is re-created, where you can sit in the chair of Madeleine Albright, Bruce Babbit, or another member
of the Presidential Cabinet. Following a visit to the Library’s Gift Shop and Lunch, we’ll do some sightseeing around Little Rock.  We’ll return to the Hotel to relax a bit
before going to Dinner.

DAY 6: FRIDAY - Little Rock Ark to Fulton, MO –
FALL FOLIAGE DAY
After Breakfast, we’ll check out of the Hotel and travel through the beautiful Ozarks which should be spectacular with FALL FOLIAGE as we head up to Fulton,
Missouri
. We’ll have Lunch en route because it will take us all day to get to Fulton.  Upon our arrival in Fulton, we’ll check into the Hotel, and rest a little before going out
to Dinner.

DAY 7:  SATURDAY - Fulton, MO to Springfield, IL
Morning: Fulton, MO to Springfield, IL  
After Breakfast, we’ll check out of the Hotel, and then visit the Churchill Museum, dedicated to the life and legacy of one
of the greatest leaders of the 20th Century
. Located on the campus of Westminster College, the site of Churchill’s famous “Iron Curtain Speech”, this memorial is
housed in the beautiful and historic
Church of St. Mary the Virgin of Aldermanbury. This 12th century London church was destroyed in the Great Fire of London, and
redesigned by Sir Christopher Wren in 1677. Nearly three centuries later, it was again destroyed by German incendiary bombs, and marked for demolition until Wren’s
graceful masterpiece was saved by a bold idea to move it to its present site in the United States. Sir Winston Churchill himself was intrigued by the imaginative idea of a
restored Wren church in America’s heartland. We'll have Lunch in Fulton, then continue onto Springfield, IL.  After we check into our Hotel in Springfield, we have a
leisurely Dinner and free time the rest of the evening.

DAY 8:  SUNDAY - Springfield, IL to Chicago, IL
Morning:
 After Breakfast, we will visit the new Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library, containing re-creations depicting the life of Abraham Lincoln from his boyhood
days in the log cabin through his journey to the White House, culminating with the Ford's Theater, a recreation of the Presidential box, and the Funeral Train, a gallery
displaying a map of the route of Lincoln's funeral train together with advertisements and announcements inviting mourners to pay their last respects.  We'll have Lunch and
this afternoon we'll go sightseeing around historic Springfield, IL, which has many venues relevant to Lincoln’s life and times.
Late Afternoon: Springfield, IL to Chicago
We’ll depart for Chicago, have a lite Dinner at an iconic Route 66 diner en route to Chicago, and arrive in Chicago later this evening.  (B,L,D) Overnight in
Chicago, IL

DAY 9: MONDAY - Depart for Home
After Breakfast at the Hotel, you'll check out and depart for your respective home towns.  Transportation to Chicago's O'Hare Airport can be arranged.

While serving in office, President Franklin D. Roosevelt inventoried the
vast quantities of papers and other materials he and his staff had
accumulated. Up to that time, many Presidential papers and records had
either been lost, destroyed, sold for profit, or ruined by poor storage
conditions.

President Roosevelt sought a viable solution.  Advised by a number of
noted historians and scholars, he established a public repository to
preserve the evidence of the Presidency for future generations.

Beginning a tradition that continues to this day, Roosevelt raised funds
from private resources for the new facility and then designated its
operation by the United States government through the National
Archives.
