About Our Director

ELLEN J. JACOBSON, ESQ.,  a native Texan, has been a Los Angeles-based arts and entertainment industry
attorney, litigator and business consultant, television producer, arts business educator,  author/editor/publisher of numerous
arts business publications, and a literary agent for children’s book authors worldwide for over 35 years.   
Actively involved in the visual, performing and literary arts in both California and Texas,
she has served on numerous civic, arts, professional and private sector boards, including the
City of Dallas’ Public Art Selection Panel,  the Advisory Council of Dallas’ historic Bath House Cultural Centre,  
the DFW Regional Film Commission, the Los Angeles County Bar and Beverly Hills (California) Bar Association Boards of
Governors, the steering committee for the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA),  
as an arts consultant on the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics Organizing Committee,  and as
an arts educator in the USC Entertainment Law Institute.   
She is a founding member and past Chair of the Dallas Bar Association’s Entertainment and Sports Law Section,  
and recipient of the Dallas Bar’s Outstanding Section Chair Award.    
Having produced numerous arts and entertainment law and entertainment industry-related seminars and workshops,
as well as having published extensively in this field over the past 25+ years, Ellen develops and arranges the special interest
"niche" cultural and heritage touring programs, continuing education components, relevant expert and locale guides, and
charitable/nonprofit collaborations which are unique to the Snobby Tours
® travel experience.
